People often think that great marriages/relationships shouldn’t need therapy.
They think it’s a sign of weakness or failure to tell a virtual stranger how you argued over the dishwasher again or your cant have one night together without disagreeing.
But, as a Couple’s therapist, I would say that recognising those red flags and taking action to address them if far from a weakness, moreover it shows strength and it shows the will to overcome the everyday challenges that face a surprising number of couples. It’s just that so many couples fear the therapeutic process.
Will the therapist take sides – No.
Couple’s therapy is balanced and transparent.
Will the therapist judge me as a bad partner – No.
It is your relationship that is having therapy, not you.
Will I get a chance to tell my side of the story – Absolutely.
There is always equal time for both parties to have their say, be heard in a safe space.
So, would you like be be heard in a safe space, without judgement and gain the skills to be able to effectively communicate with your partner?
Why not give me a call.
